Where in the World Wednesday?

The Cove! This weeks theme was "your own backyard" but since mine is a MESS and not fun at all, I thought I would share one of our favorite places to go close to home.  The Cove is a local park along the edge of the Tennessee River.  It is less than a 10 minute ride from our house and absolutely gorgeous.

There is a swimming area where the kids like to wade in the  warm shallow water.  It does get deeper if you go out a ways.

Last year, Melanie didn't want anything to do with the water, but she LOVED playing in the sand while her brother and sisters were swimming.  It will be fun to see what she thinks of the water this year.

We haven't been swimming yet this year, but when we want someplace close the Cove is always our destination.

It does look like a fun place! And only 10 minutes away? Perfect!!

And I couldn't help but notice the SUPER TAN gal in the last picture! Whoa!

The Cove looks like a great place to go! It's so beautiful! I never thought about a river having a beach and a fun place to swim.

Never worry about not following my themes...they're just suggestions! I love seeing any place you want to write about! (I finally have my post up... sorry it's late!)

That does look wonderful!! I would love to have that kind of beach and water near us! Let us know what Melanie thinks of it this year, my son (who is 4) thinks even the pool in our backyard is pretty cool now, but was afraid of it last year!
