Where in the World Wednesday
I just love these little benches around the trees. All the State parks in Tennessee seem to have them. Maggie wasn’t sure she was going to like it.
This walking bridge went over a shallow creek. The water was clearer than any other creek I have ever seen in Tennessee. Most rivers and creeks here are muddy. Hubby said it was so clear because of all the rocks.
Not only was the water clear, it was also COLD! I told Hubby that it felt like snow run off, but he insists that it isn’t. The kids were surprised at just how cold it was, but they still had a good time playing in it. The rocks however were a bit slippery and Melanie was not happy when she had trouble moving from one place to another. Mean Mom that I am, I took her picture before helping her get up. Morgan went exploring with Hubby, so I didn’t get any pictures of him in the water. The two of them spent about an hour exploring the area upstream from where the girls and I were playing on the playground.
We have lived in Tennessee for 5 1/2 years and we are still finding new places to explore on a regular basis.
