How to Build a Cloth Diaper Stash
Week 2: How many cloth diapers are in an ideal stash per child? What is your reality?
I want to start out by saying that ideal is a very personal thing. For me, I think I would be happy to just keep continually adding more diapers to my stash to try new things. From a strictly numbers standpoint, I would say that a minimum of 24 diapers is ideal for my 2 year old. That allows for 8 diapers per day and being able to go 2.5 days between wash loads. I usually average 18 to 20 diapers in a load.
My reality is that I have a TON of diapers. I have 26 pocket/AI2/AIO's, 14 fitted diapers & 14 covers. These diapers are all in my rotation. I also have 2 dozen prefolds, 6 contours & 18 homemade contours that I'm currently not using.

I am with you on the ideal being never ending diapers! LOL. I should have posted some pics too, it's always fun to see other people's colorful fluff :-)
I love adding new kinds of diapers, too! I usually swap one I'm not using for a new kind, I've been able to try out a lot that way.
The lady bug one is so cute. A mom can go crazy with all the different kinds out there
It is so addicting!! And looking at your stash makes me think I may need to add another diaper to ours! ;) *shhh* don't tell my hubby!
Wow! You have a lot of diapers! I keep mine in wicker baskets, too!
LOL, I thought I was the only one with an out of control stash. Between the testers I make as I prefect my designs, the testers I buy before I will carry a product in my store, the testers I am sent for www.clothdiaperreviews.com, and the other diapers we have accumulated, we have a LOT of diapers too. But, I find that I end up using almost all of them over time as she changes sizes and needs.
cute stash!!!
