In 2004, we took a leap of faith. We sold our house, packed up our belongings and moved from California to Tennessee with our 4 kids, 2 cats and a dog. We were technically homeless for about 16 days. We took 12 days driving across the country seeing the sites along the way, then 4 days in a Residence Hotel until we found jobs and a house to rent. It was an amazing adventure. Moving to Tennessee has been a wonderful blessing for our entire family.
This was taken at the Grand Canyon in November 2004. From left to right our 2nd son (14 at the time) our Oldest son (17 at the time) & Hubby. In the front our youngest son (6 at the time) and our then ONLY daughter (4 at the time). This picture was my first visual evidence that our 2nd son was going to be MUCH taller than his older brother & Dad. He is now 19 & about 6'3" I think he is standing on a raised area in this picture, in person he didn't look that much taller at the time. Hubby & our oldest are about 5'11"To see more Take Me Back Tuesday visit A Giveaway Addicted Mommy

Wow, I love this post. I love the courage and fortitude to pack up and relocate, the unwritten faith and belief in God that it took to undertake such an adventure, and the willingness to listen and be drawn to do what is best for your family.
Many blessings to you,
Valerie
I am in awe of your faith! What a coureageous thing to have done. I am so pleased it has been a blessing to you to be here. We're so very glad you came!!! Loved your picture at the Grand Canyon. Some of my favorite childhood memoriees are of our family vacation time together. Thank you so much for sharing your picture and your beautifull story of faith and courage! God bless you!
Many hugs.........
Diane
I don't know if I will ever be as brave as you - I am in awe.
When talking about your taller son, it was funny because as I was reading, I was thinking that you had gotten it wrong and that the taller one was the oldest. Isn't it strange how genetics works?? I am hoping that my kids find some tall gene and aren't saddled with my shortness!
Thanks so much for playing along! I love this picture but the story behind it is just amazing!!
Oh my gosh..that is totally a leap of faith!!!!! How awesome that it has worked out!!
I think my eldest is going to be taller than my hubby too..LOL!
That is brave of you! Glad it worked out:)
Some day we like to take the kids and visit the Grand Canyon.
All my girls will probably be taller than me. I think they take after their daddy, who is 6 foot.
Your header is adorable!
Thanks for stopping by my blog:)
What a great picture and a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing!
