Recently, I've finally gotten over myself at being irritated with my Mom & have discovered that vinegar really is a miracle product. It is inexpensive, not harmful to the environment and so versatile. It is a great cleaner for windows and mirrors, it cuts grease on appliances & leaves them shiny. It works great for touching up the linoleum floors around the house. I run my cloth diapers and my towels through a vinegar rinse to make sure all the soap is out. When lice was going around my kids school, I broke out the apple cider vinegar & rinsed their hair with it after every shampoo, not sure if it was the reason, but we were spared from this years lice invasion. I think my absolute favorite thing about vinegar is that I know it is SAFE to use around my kids. I mop my floor with the same bottle of vinegar that I use in some of my favorite recipes.....if only chocolate could be so versatile!!!

When I was a kid my mom made me rinse my hair with Vinegar and water. She said it would make my hair shiny.
thats great!! i love finding new uses for things I already have and are cheap to buy again!!! thanks for the tip!!
i always hated it when my mom put it through the coffee pot
I hate the smell of vinegar. However, I will be remembering that tip when lice goes around. I HATE lice WAY more.
I clean windows with vinegar too. I would totally mop my floor with chocolate if I could.
Ok I've never done anything with vinegar except put way too much in salad dressing, on subs, and in potato and macaroni salad. I love your ideas and I think I'm going to bust out the vinegar and try them!
You could write a book on the many uses of vinegar. Is there anything it can't do.
It is the greatest isn't it. We always keep a gigantic container in our house.
I love vinegar! I use it instead of jetdry, also instead of fabric softener, and it is great for cleaning up mold.
Happy TILT!
I would appreciate it if you would help me spread the word on my giveaway. It is for cloth diapers handmade here in the USA by a WAHM.
I've used vinegar for cleaning, but I've never heard of it for your hair - does it make your hair smell funny?
I use vinegar as a fabric softner. Instead of liquid fabric softner, I put 1/2 capful into the fabric softener dispenses, add water presto! Clothes are soft, no static present (I use those dryer balls in the dryer). My clothes do not smell like vinegar at all!
